Easy Corner Solutions

Mitering. Sometimes just that one word can throw people into a panic. Not to worry, at Ornamental Mouldings and Millwork, we can eliminate the panic… and the mitering.

When moulding pieces join in the corner of a room, or around windows, it’s natural to think that those pieces must be mitered to join them together. This usually means cutting two pieces of moulding at a 45 degree angle. This forms a corner, usually at a 90 degree angle. We invite you to forget about the stress of measurements and mitering… by using our easy-to-install wooden blocks and connectors. Here’s the best part: you only need to make straight moulding cuts that will “butt up” to these pieces.

Making Life Easier

Miterless corner pieces are available for baseboard connections, crown mouldings and window surrounds. Oftentimes referred to as “rosettes” or “blocks,” the connectors come in a wide variety of styles.

Perhaps you’re installing flat moulding around an interior window and want to add a bit more decorative pizzazz to the project. Then you can select from more than a dozen of our wooden blocks that have beautiful designs, like our Rondele Fashion Block with a scroll pattern or our Loose Weave Fashion Block with a woven wood design. Looking for something a bit more whimsical? Then consider our Whimsey Fashion Block… ideal for adding accents to a mirror and window framing.
