Tips for Upgrading a Room

To enhance a room interior you don’t need to strip the walls and get rid of your furniture. We’ve got some easy DIY tips and tricks for upgrading any room in your home.

Tip #1: Draw Attention to the ceiling

A true room transformation can be created by adding wooden beams to a ceiling in either a horizontal or criss-cross pattern. If you’re not ready to add beams to your ceiling, then accent them with stand-out crown mouldings.

Gray faux beams and metal brackets.

Tip #2: Surround your window

Play up your window interiors with mouldings. Add straight trim and rosettes in the corners to “frame your windows” on the inside of your room.

Tip #3: Use your wall space

Floating shelves are wonderful on any wall. They provide ways to showcase your framed artwork, pictures, and collectibles.

Tip #4: STep up your STair GAme

If you’re looking for a fast and easy stair update, here’s the way to do it. Each Reversible Riser is 42-inches long by 7-1/2 inch high. The risers can be cut-to-sized and glued on over existing risers to give a stairway a new look.

Tip #5: Create moulding magic

Not all mouldings are plain and simple. Create expressive statements in a room with wall and decorative trim mouldings featuring leaves, grapes, and vines, or criss-cross ribbon patterns.
